CarFest FAQs
When can I check in?
You can check in at the Hotel Bell Tent reception from 4pm on Thursday if you have purchased a Big Early Ticket or from 8am on Friday. Check out is at 11am on Monday. Please bring photo ID and a copy of your booking confirmation for check in.
What are the reception opening hours?
Reception will be open between 8am and 12am. Outside these hours a night porter will be on duty.
What will Hotel Bell Tent be doing to ensure they are Covid-19 compliant?
Hotel Bell Tent will be working closely with CarFest to ensure all CarFest camps are set up and run according to any good practice government guidelines published at the time for large events.
I'm travelling by car. What are the parking arrangements?
You will have access to an exclusive car park with a buggy service available to assist with luggage to the Hotel Bell Tent reception. The lead booker will be sent a car parking pass to print and place in the windscreen of the car.
Can I bring more people to stay in my tent?
No, only the number of people you have booked for can stay in your accommodation.
Will our event tickets be included in the price of the accommodation?
No, event tickets are not included in your accommodation booking. You can purchase event tickets from the CarFest website.
Does my package include bedding?
Standard Package – No, however you are able add a single/double bedding pack and pillow/pillowcase at an extra cost when making your booking.
All other packages (Classic Package, Deluxe Package, Super Bell Package, Luxury Emperor, Yurt Package, Gypsy Bowtop Caravans, En-suite Safari, Airstream) - Yes, this package includes a 13.5 tog duvet and one pillow per person with cotton bed linen and one cotton bath towel per person.
Will there be security?
Hotel Bell Tent will have a dedicated 24/7 security presence allowing only wrist banded guests to enter the Hotel Bell Tent area.
As always, Hotel Bell Tent cannot be held liable for lost or stolen items. We advise all guests against bringing unnecessary valuable items to the event and having handbags or purses on visual display in their accommodation.
Will there be food and drink on site?
Delicious cooked and continental breakfasts will be being served every morning (each morning of your stay) at our onsite café area. Complimentary tea and coffee will also be available throughout your stay.
Further drinks, meals and snacks will be available to purchase from our café and bar throughout the weekend.
Closer to the festival, the lead booker will be contacted and requested to book their preferred breakfast sitting for all guests in their party. This system is in place to reduce queuing, and bookings are made on a first come first served basis.
Will there really be bell boys and a buggy service?
Our car park is now a stones throw away from our Hotel Bell Tent site, however we do still have some buggy’s available at Reception for people to use if guests are needing assistance, please let our teamk know and they will be of asssistance.
What essential items should I bring?
We highly recommend you bring a torch, lots of layers for when the sun goes down, plenty of warm bedding (if this is not included within the package you have booked) and cosy pyjamas. Bringing an extra blanket is always a good idea just in case the night times are a little cooler.
I’m interested in adding a fridge to my booking. How big is it?
Fridges have a capacity of 45 litres. The external dimensions are 47.2 x 49.2 x 45 cm.
What about toilets, showers and pamper areas?
Hotel Bell Tent will have exclusive loos with a dedicated maintenance and cleaning crew. Our showers will be housed in a marquee, complete with pamper stations featuring big mirrors and hairdryers.
Please note that showers can be in high demand at peak times (breakfast and early evening). We recommend trying to use the showers outside of these times or to bring a magazine if you’re planning on getting in line to freshen up.
Will there be power in my accommodation?
Each accommodation package is supplied with power. This is for charging of phones and cameras only – use for anything more powerful could overload the system and disrupt power supply for you and your fellow guests. If in doubt, please check with Hotel Bell Tent reception staff.
Can I use a BBQ?
CarFest campsite rules include no open fires or BBQs are permitted. Only purpose-built gas stoves with small gas bottles (2.2kg) are allowed no spare bottles are to be brought. Please note Hotel Bell Tent does not permit naked flames (camping stoves, candles etc.) inside any accommodation option.
Will drinking water be available?
Water taps can be found in and around the site and are supplied with mains water suitable for drinking. Please bring a refillable water bottle to use.
What about the environment?
At Hotel Bell Tent we respect the environment and try our hardest to look after all the beautiful spaces in which we set up camp. We welcome all guests’ help in keeping our area clean and tidy and assisting us in leaving no trace.
